OUR MISSION

Ground UP Productions continues to grow from the ground, up. With every show, we learn more, expand our patron list, improve quality, and raise the stakes. Our firm mission has evolved into producing "The New Classics" - breaking ground with new plays and musicals which we believe are destined for greatness, and reviving old favorites in new and exciting ways. We are passionate about commissioning new work, supporting playwrights in their development of that work, nurturing the future voices of theater, and ultimately providing a professional launching pad for these pieces. We believe in hard work, attention to detail, and honest, vibrant theater.

We also remain dedicated to serving the budding theater artists in North Carolina and the New York City areas. With a home base in The South, and headquarters in The Big Apple, we represent the perfect professional bridge. Through on-campus residencies, master classes and summer internships, we have the unique opportunity to help prepare students for a career in the arts and to introduce them to the thrilling New York theater scene.
