Would you like to have your new play in Ground UP's New Works Reading Festival this coming February?

2027 will mark our 15th Annual New Works Reading Festival, where we feature new plays, brilliant playwrights, and hope to find our next production!

Throughout Ground UP's history, we have produced 6 new works, four of which have been published, and we are so proud of our festival, the exciting playwrights that join us, the new works that are developed, and the community that has formed around it all.

Deadline for February, 2027 festival consideration:
October 1, 2026

And just a reminder...

Submission Suggestions Include:
-Full length plays
-8 characters or fewer
-Include short paragraph about yourself
-Include summary/info of new work
-no musicals (at this time)
-no prior full-scale productions
